Tooscans Wine Academy is based in Tuscany and offers online, through a dedicated e-learning platform, and in-person training courses. In-person courses take place in Tuscany, and Riga (Latvia).
Tooscans Wine Academy was founded by Irina Mihailenko. Originally from Riga, Latvia, and based in Italy for more than 30 years, for about 20, she worked in the wine business full-time. Irina is a professional sommelier of the two most important Italian associations, AIS (WSA) and FISAR, a Wine Judge, Valpolicella Wine Specialist, Langhe Wines Ambassador and Official Cava Educator. She achieved the WSET L3 Award in Wines qualification and is currently completing the WSET L4 Diploma in Wines in London.
Irina is a Founder and Project Manager at Tooscans, an e-commerce dedicated mainly to Tuscan food and wine. Tooscans is a registered trademark and belongs to the company Omnia Consult Srl which also operates as an offline distributor. Tooscans Wine Academy is part of the Omnia Consult Srl project, which also has activities in other businesses.
Having also achieved a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing at PIN of Prato – Educational and Scientific Services for the University of Florence, Irina deals with consulting and communication, PR, digital marketing & branding strategy activities, and wine education.
